Having had the bike intervals in the morning, my training plan also proposed to do some hill sprints in the afternoon. After 15 minutes of warm up (HR 120 – 140) I found a nice place with about a 6-7% slope.
- 10 repetitions, start every 2 minutes
- 40 sec sprints, 80 sec recovery
After the sprints I went back to the plain track and did a 20 minutes tempo run with a hear rate somewhere between 155 and 160.
